In July, we headed out to Eagle Lake, California to camp for a week with Rick's family to celebrate his dad's 70th birthday. Here are a few snippets of our adventures:
Ian and Rayna were introduced to the sport of dirt bikes before we headed off to the lake. Ian felt the bikes were too unpredictable and hard to control. Rayna couldn't get enough or fast enough. I could have predicted that one.
Camping for a week lends itself to inconsistant naptimes and places for babies. This baby fell asleep on the raft about 20 yards out into the lake. I pulled her to shore and we let her finish her nap there.
Brynlee missed the beach races. Running in sand is pretty tricky. Pictured here is Uncle Mark, Kristen, Lindsay, little Jaeda, and Jacilynn.
The whole point of going to Eagle Lake is the great lake trout fishing. Here's Rayna's catch. We had a big fish fry at the end of the week and we even had fish left over after feeding about 30 people.
We also took an afternoon to do some target practice with our firearms. We shot at pop cans placed on logs and trees. There were enough guns and ammo to give everyone a turn or two that wanted one...or two.
