Family Thanksgiving Show 2008

Last year after Thanksgiving we went over to the small care center near my parents' house and sang some Christmas songs for them. We thought it was a wonderful way to start out our holiday season, and so we returned again this year. It looks like this may become a wonderful Thanksgiving tradition. My sister, Shan'l, organized the program this year and did a wonderful job. We had jokes, dancing, poems, trumpets, pianos, and singing! This year I was smart enough to bring my camera. Here are a few tidbits from our program...

My mother and her daughters singing "I love you Truly"- barbershop style. This was a song my Grandpa Bruce sang with his Barbershop quartet, the Pendle-tone Tutors.

Rayna, Jaeda, and their 2 cousins dancing to "Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer". Pretty good for only learning it an hour before.

Jaeda and Megan reciting their Apple Tree poem they learned at their reading school.

The whole lot of us singing "Silent Night."

The barbershop quartet (or quintet) was my favorite!

I love to listen to the "oldies".

Great job- and what a fun idea!
