Mattie Rae decided to take a spontaneous trip to Idaho for Conference Weekend. She didn't want to travel alone, so she invited my kids to go with her. After coming upon many a-hurdles, we jumped through all the hoops neccessary to make it work.
Finding ourselves mostly childless for conference weekend, in between sessions on Saturday, we decided to go for a short hike to enjoy the fall colors up on "our" mountain. We hiked up to Red Knoll on the mountain behind our home. We wanted to check out the new zipline and see it up close. Here is Rick and Brynlee overlooking the reservoir and our famous windmills. You can see the lower part of the zipline behind Brynlee's head.
On our way down, here's a family picture. Brynlee's got her mouth full of a candy bar.
